Dadra Nagar Haveli Profile

Situated in the western corner of India, Dadra Nagar Haveli (DNH) is a small Union Territory of the Indian Union. For a century and half, the fiery Portuguese were the masters of this land. Almost 90% of the people of DNH are Tribals. Agriculture is their main occupation.

Nagar Haveli is blocked between the states of Maharashtra and Gujarat, whereas Dadra is an enclave lying a few km north of Nagar Haveli in Gujarat. The territory has its administrative capital at Silvassa which is also the main town of the UT.
