Economy and Industry,

Agriculture and manufacturing industries are the main sources of economy for the people of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The territory does not impose any sale tax on the industries and also there is no excise duty.

The territory is administered by an Administrator. There are much facilities being provided by the government/administration to establish Industrial Estates in DNH.

The major agricultural products in the area include Ragi, wheat, sugarcane, paddy, pulses, mango, chiku and litchi etc.

Major industries are : Textiles, engineering, chemicals, electronics, and cottage.
